5. Brett Gabbert, Miami Ohio Redhawks

Brett Gabbert, the younger brother of former Mizzou star Blaine, is a seasoned player with 39 career starts. His last season was cut short due to a broken leg. He thrives in a pro-style offense, demonstrating exceptional skill in pocket presence and deep-field throws.

4. Cardell Williams, Tulsa Golden Hurricane

A Louisiana native who played high school football in Texas, Cardell Williams is a promising sophomore. I've witnessed his potential firsthand, living in Tulsa. Under the guidance of former Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson, Williams is a dual-threat quarterback who can dominate on the ground if you overlook him. He throws well and just needs more in-game experience to showcase his abilities.

3. Byrum Brown, South Florida Bulls

In his sophomore year, Byrum Brown amassed over 3,200 passing yards and 26 touchdowns, with 11 interceptions. He also rushed for over 800 yards and 11 touchdowns. Brown has a knack for knowing when to stay in the pocket and when to escape and make plays with his legs.

2. Kaidon Salter, Liberty Flames

Kaidon Salter possesses the skills to compete in many Power 5 conferences. Known for his strong arm and agility, Salter might be considered slightly undersized at 6'1", 200 lbs. However, he impressively threw for over 2,800 yards and 32 touchdowns, with just 6 interceptions, and rushed for an additional 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He is a top contender on any list.

1. Jaylen Raynor, Arkansas State Red Wolves

I rank Jaylen Raynor at the top, partly because he is a true sophomore and I've seen his prowess in person. Raynor has that intangible "it" factor. Although his stats may not be as flashy as others, his explosive playmaking ability stands out. Throwing six touchdowns in a single game, as he did against UMASS, is no small feat. Last season, he accumulated 2,550 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. With better line support, Raynor is destined to excel.

 🎥 Chris Fowler CFB 25 Update #3

Chris Fowler provided another behind-the-scenes update about his CFB 25 voice work and timeline for completion.

Chris has been a massive wealth of CFB 25 knowledge over the past 2-3 months for Hit Stick readers. In the video below, Fowler reports that he is just about done with his audio work.

Fowler notes that he has a day scheduled soon to record hundreds of NEW player names who have recently opted into the game.

Additionally, Chris and Kirk Herbstreit will be doing a recording session next week that is focused on banter in the booth which is sure to add authenticity to the game.

Fowler promised one more update before all work is done in a couple of weeks.
